bio

Georgie grew up in Kent making music in her bedroom with a webcam microphone and her sisters old laptop. 10 years later, she's still doing it. Except she moved to Cornwall, swapped the webcam microphone for an iPhone and finally bought her own laptop. Inspired by all great women everywhere, she's doing it herself.

Her interest started in secondary school where she began guitar lessons, only realising after a year she wasn't too fussed about passing the grade exams. She started writing songs about the mean boys in her life, and decided to take it to the stage. By 17 she'd had the experience of playing to thousands of people at festivals and stage hopping around the county.

During her time at college she began to learn about music technology and how she can use her sisters laptop to help make real songs. This peaked her interest into developing her productions skills.

She then left Kent and moved to Cornwall to study Creative Music Technology. During this time she began collaborating with other artists, sculpting out her sound and honing in on her craft. Georgie takes a keen interest in several genres of music and collaborates with Yiskah (Jessica Beechey) to create 'Acousmatic Pop' in their side act 'Mid-Side Pizza Club'. She also launched a production company with her friends at university and spent a lot of time behind the desk.

REVIEWS

"Georgie is a rare breed of performer that opens out their entire soul and invites you in to view it with her words and voice. Known for her incredibly heartfelt and captivating performances, here is an artist that encapsulates her personality and portrays is as honestly and genuinely through every aspect of her musical life. Such a quality makes it incredibly hard not to be entirely endeared." - Sam Powell

"Then on came the fantastically colloquial Georgie, who understood her audience completely and her personal originals were easily relatable. The awesome dynamic control with the heart felt lyrics got the crowd swaying and emotions flowing in the sweltering afternoon." - Training Them Live

"Georgie is one of the most real and precious artists in Cornwall, her song-craft is genuine undeniable genius, and last night's performance was no less."

"Georgie Georgie Georgie..... her music is as breathtakingly delicate as it is a finished product. A couple of well placed, well chosen mics and a nice room and Georgie could easier make a killer record that would destroy the hearts of those who think they are safe. Georgie is a genuine artist and a blatant genius, her top-line is commercial and easy to follow, structurally her songs are well constructed and well-founded but her delivery is so honest and open, both ad-hoc and undefinable, it has to be seen to be truly appreciated. If you haven't seen Georgie live, and appreciate the more emotive side of music, the you MUST go and see her!!" - The Nightjar, Truro
